Casey Merrill LPC-MHSP, NBCC

Executive Director, HopeNation

Casey Merill, Executive Director, HopeNation Counseling

“My clinical approach to counseling is aimed at aligning with the Client’s desires and goals. I believe we, as wonderful human beings, know what we want but often lack the tools to achieve our own goals. Through therapy and behavior modifications, I believe we can allow all things to strengthen us. “

I am from East Tennessee and have been practicing Mental Health for over a decade. I have specialized in trauma centered treatment for the majority of my career which has been rewarding and provided continued professional momentum towards discovering the power of Scientific Hope.

My clinical training is in Trauma Centered approaches beginning in developmental attachment work to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Trauma informed care is at the center of my clinical approach and I am beyond excited about our Campus Initiatives assisting college students experiencing Trauma. There continue to be many obstacles to providing excellent trauma informed care and to be a part of an organization that is removing these challenges has been a professional dream of mine.

My clinical approach to counseling is aimed at aligning with the Client’s desires and goals. I believe we, as wonderful human beings, know what we want but often lack the tools to achieve our own goals. Through therapy and behavior modifications, I believe we can allow all things to strengthen us.
